Lynn has been named a 2026 Dance Teacher Award honoree by Dance Teacher magazine, recognized for a career spent building a technique for every body, rooted in anatomy, injury prevention, and the belief that every dancer can move with greater freedom. She will be celebrated at an awards ceremony in New York City on October 14, 2026.

artistic journey from Broadway-style jazz dance to the development of Simonson Technique.
Her vibrant journey moves through Europe and NYC dance studios in the 60’s and 70’s.
It continues through years of directing the Jazz Project at Jacob’s Pillow, and decades of
international residencies in Canada, Japan, and Europe.

Directors created Dance Space Inc., 1984, which influenced the NYC field of dance for 30 years.
